The results for the 14th Annual Renaissance Festival Awards are in, and after the 8000+ votes have been tallied, I’m so very excited, humbled and proud to be able to say that your friendly, neighbourhood Shakespeare was voted as your favourite of Children-Geared Performers of 2018!

To win in a category – any category – in the Renaissance Festival Awards is more than I thought was possible when I started performing as a variety performer 13 years ago. To be thought of by you, the voting public, to be considered among the best, to be thought of as entertaining for the entire family, the kids from 1 to 92 - that’s more than I have any right to hope for, and I thank you all for bringing your children, your children’s children, and the children that live inside all of you, each and every, from the bottom of my heart.

I promise you a 2019 that’s full of joy, silliness, and heart, and I hope that you’ll continue to approach this wonderful, zany, magical world that we get to create together with openness and a sense of adventure.

I love you, you love me, there is mutual, glorious affection.

Shakespeare loves you all.

Join your friendly, neighbourhood Shakespeare as he takes you on adventures full of merriment: sword fights, mistaken identities, star-cross’d lovers, flying implements of doom, musical numbers, death by fluffy kittens, and … being pursued by a bear. The Shakespearean adventures are zany performances shaped to be fun for everyone!
