Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon has been described as "a one-man Renaissance Faire."  What that means for your school is fully-immersive edutainment.

In order to maximize the number of students who are able to participate in Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon's shows, I recommend that it be done in a classroom area, or another venue where you can keep the crowd size to less than 60.  I can do as many performances as you need throughout the day, and we can do a final "goodbye" show for all of your students in a gym or auditorium at the end of the day.  This can include the "Shakespearean Press Conference.".

These are just some of the shows & activities you can do with Master Shakespeare at your school!

  • Each presentation by Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon is different.  I take classic plays, boil them down to 25-minutes, and then throw in absurd, screwball comedy to make you forget about the sometimes-intimidating Elizabethan English.  Each show is fully audience-interactive, bringing students up onto the stage to play several of the characters. I'll present such shows as:
    • Romeo & Juliet: The Flying Implement of Doom EditionThe tale of 2 star-cross'd lovers with a comedic twist!
    • 12th Night & the 3 Bears. Ship-wrecks, spurned lovers, girls dressing up as boys, and being pursued by a bear!

    • Macbeth: Death by Fluffy Kittens. The story of the most murderous villain of Scotland - and fluffy kittens!

    • The Tempest: A 3-Hour Tour. Take Prospero, Miranda, Caliban, add a shipwreck, and throw in some castaways from the S.S. Minnow!

    • Julius Caesar: Beware the Ides of March of the Penguins! The tale of the murder of the greatest Roman of them all - spoilers! AND dancing penguins!

    • Monarchy! The Musical. It covers the history of the kings & queens of England from William the Conqueror through Elizabeth I, through musical parody.

      • This show is performed with a partner.                Additional rates apply

    • The Hamlet X-mas Special.  Take one part depressive Dane, two parts Peanut, and 3 parts silly Shakespeare and you get a play where JUST THIS ONCE everybody lives!
  • Improvisation & Shakespearean Theatre classes.  Your students can learn how to perform a Shakespearean play from Master Shakespeare himself, or have an introduction to improvisation. 60 minutes.

  • "Shakespearean Press Conference." Your students can ask Master Shakespeare any question under the sun concerning the plays, Elizabethan life, theatre - the sky's the limit!
