Brian and Dan talk about the classic TOS episodes “Spectre of the Gun” and “Day of the Dove,” and also figure out when the actual first interracial kiss on television occurred (spoilers: it was NOT on the Star Trek episode “Plato’s Stepchildren” between Uhura and Kirk!).
We talk about love and rationality conquering unbridled hatred and an urge to kill, the barrier-breaking uncomfortability of an attempted rape scene, and hair-dos, and we delve into the ever-evolving look of the Klingons over time.
Brian gives us the rundown on the new “Lost in Space” trailer (all of this has happened before and all of it will happen again).
Brian saw the 2018 Best Picture: “The Shape of Water” starring DISCO’s Doug Jones (Saru!).
BTW: Doug Jones is a national treasure and “The Shape of Water” is a romantic thriller (rom-thrill? Thrill-rom?). The boys take far too long to search IMBD.
